Description

MATRIX-MG Gas Analyzers for the fully automated and high precision real-time monitoring of gas compounds

Fast, continuous and fully automated identification and quantification of gas compositions

  • No calibration to target gas necessary
  • Compensation of atmospheric gases and interferents
  • Gas cells available with path lengths of 10 cm (MATRIX-MG01), 2 m (MATRIX-MG2) and 5 m (MATRIX-MG5)
  • Detects concentrations from a few ppb up to 100%
  • Temperature-controlled gas cell (up to 200°C)
  • Easy operation and low cost of ownership
  • Based on the renowned RockSolid™ interferometer
  • Output of measurement results to industrial communication interfaces

The compact and rugged MATRIX-MG series is built upon the industry proven MATRIX-M (“IRCube”). The target gas is analyzed inside a gas cell based on FT-IR spectroscopy. To cover a very broad range of applications the MATRIX-MG series comprises gas cells with path lengths of 10 cm (MATRIX-MG01), 2 m (MATRIX-MG2), respectively 5 m (MATRIX-MG5).

These can be heated up to 200°C to avoid condensation of certain compounds in the target gas. Typical applications are the monitoring of process gases in production lines or exhaust gases, the analysis of motor vehicle exhausts and biogases, the determination of gas impurities in high purity gases, as well as the gas analysis in scientific research.

Features

MATRIX-MG01

The MATRIX-MG01 features a gas cell with 10 cm optical path length and is especially well suited for the quantification of gas compounds with very high concentration.

The cell has a volume of 25 ml only to enable a fast gas exchange with minimum gas consumption. Its PTFE coating and ZnSe windows ensure a maximum corrosive protection. The MATRIX-MG01 is equipped with temperature and pressure sensors and their measurement values are automatically read out and considered within the control software OPUS GA

  • 10 cm optical path length for the identification and quantification of high gas concentrations
  • Volume inside the gas cell is 25 ml only
  • PTFE coating of the gas cell enables the measurement even of corrosive gases
  • Accounts for variable pressure and temperature of the gas by sensors

MATRIX-MG2

The MATRIX-MG2 features a 2 m multi-reflection gas cell and is designed for the quantification of gas compounds in a very broad concentration range

The cell has a volume of 200 ml only and its nickel-plated surface allows the measurement even of corrosive gases. The MATRIX-MG2 is equipped with temperature and pressure sensors inside the gas cell and their measurement values are automatically read out and considered within the control software OPUS GA.

  • 2 m multi-reflection gas cell for the identification and quantification of gas concentrations in a broad concentration range
  • Volume inside the gas cell is 200 ml only
  • The nickel-plated gas cell enables the measurement even of corrosive gases
  • Accounts for variable pressure and temperature of the gas by sensors included inside the gas cell

MATRIX-MG5

The MATRIX-MG5 features a 5 m multi-reflection gas cell and is designed for the high-precision quantification of gas compounds from very low concentrations on the ppb level up to one hundred percent.

Its patented design is especially optimized for a fast gas exchange which allows for analyzing dynamic processes, like the exhausts of combustion engines. The nickel-plated gas cell and galvanic coated mirrors enable the measurement even of corrosive gases. For dedicated demanding applications, the gas cell is also available in stainless steel. Pressure and temperature sensors inside the gas cell are automatically read out and considered within the control software OPUS GA.5.

  • 5 m multi-reflection gas cell for the identification and quantification of a few parts per billion up to 100 percent
  • Patented gas cell designed for a fast gas exchange
  • The nickel-plated gas cell and galvanic gold-coated mirrors enable the measurement even of corrosive gases
  • Gas cell is also available in stainless steel

Accounts for variable pressure and temperature of the gas by sensors included inside the gas cell
