Description

The Leica EM GP2 device is a dedicated cryo preparation system for plunge freezing of thin samples on electron microscopy grids. The device has been designed in such a way that preparation of preparations is simple and repeatable.

All processes are controlled by means of a touch panel displaying the actual and entered parameters. The system can be configured according to the user’s needs. Parameters can be saved in programs that can be recalled at a later time. The environmental chamber provides controlled temperature and humidity around the grids before freezing. Dewar with liquid nitrogen cools ethane or propane. The vitrification of a single grid can be completed in less than a minute, which allows easy quantities of prepared samples.
