Pantheon ™ platform pulsed EUV photon source

  • Description

Description

The KMLabs Pantheon ™ platform is a pulsed EUV photon source, consisting of the necessary instrumentation to generate EUV light, as well as a beamline to facilitate the delivery of EUV photons to a user-supplied experimental station. The individual pulses of light from Pantheon have a duration in the femtosecond regime and take the form of a laser beam, a coherent and highly focused beam.

Take advantage of radiation (EUV) in your lab, from nanoscale imaging to ultrafast magnetization dynamics, photoemission spectroscopy and semiconductor lithography, many materials and technologies have characteristic transition energies that fall within the EUV operating range. Harnessing the power of this part of the spectrum is now possible in a laboratory setting for researchers who want to focus on the experiment rather than on building a light source.

The generation of photons in the EUV range is done by the high harmonic generation process, using an ultrafast 800 nm beam as the primary light source. Behind the high harmonic process, Pantheon contains the necessary optics to remove the primary light from the propagation beam, leaving only the converted EUV light for experimentation. Excess baseline light can be diverted to alternative beam paths for use in a separate experiment.

Pantheon source benefits:

  • Commercially designed, tunable EUV beam light
  • EUV laser light source with spatially and temporally coherent pulses
  • Easy-to-use pure EUV light ready for experimentation
  • High stability

Applications:

  • Coherent diffraction imaging (CDI)
  • Angular resolution photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES)
  • Ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy
  • MOKE magnetic spectroscopy
  • Pulsed energy source for atom probe tomography
  • Photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM)
